
Polyvios Giannopoulos

Polyvios Giannopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE) and a member of the CHARTERED AUDITORS OF ACCOUNTANTS (SOEL) since 1998. He has worked for a number of years as a manager at the international auditing firm E&Y. He also served as Deputy Director at the Internal Audit Department of the National Bank Group, as well as Deputy Director of Financial Services at National Leasing. He completed the two-year postgraduate education and professional training program at the Institute of Chartered Auditors and Accountants Training (IESOL), while he received the “A.I.A” International Certification from the “I.F.R.S” for the “Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards”, as well as for the “Certification in Risk Management (C.R.M.A)” diploma. His experience concerns regular, specialist and financial audits of listed and non-listed companies, in accordance with the accounting standards governing the Greek Legislation, or in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In particular, he has participated in regular and special audits of corporate entities covering the entire financial spectrum, such as the Bank of Greece, the Bank of Cyprus, the Agricultural Bank, Mutual Fund Management Companies, Leasing companies, as well as brokerage firms. He has participated in financial services audits (Individual and Consolidated Financial Statements of National Bank and its domestic and foreign subsidiaries (Finans Bank, UBB etc.), as well as in audits of the Treasury Management Division (National Bank, Finans Bank for the Market Risk, Middle Office, Budgeting, Trading, Back Office, Clearance of Transactions, Nostro/Vostro Reconciliation), audits of compliance with the regulatory framework determined by the Bank of Greece for credit institutions and specialized Fraud Audits (Fraud Investigation). During his tenure at E&Y, he participated in audits involving commercial and industrial companies.

John Tsakiris

John Tsakiris is an executive with rich international banking experience, of the highest level, in areas such as the management of large private funds and assets, the restructuring of corporate loans and the development of businesses. He has been an experienced Negotiator and Member of the Board of Directors in large Financial Groups. He holds a Category C (Portfolio Management) Certificate from the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission and he is a Member of the London Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. He is a graduate in Economics of the Wales University, where he received his PhD in Economics and Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Business Research from LSE He began his career at IBM Hellas in 1988, continuing in 1990 as an investment consultant for the Onassis Group in Monte Carlo and at BARCLAYS Bank in Switzerland in 1995. In 1997 he became Head of the Greek branch of Citibank Asset & Wealth Management in London and throughout the next decade, he held management positions in banks such as American Express Monaco, Piraeus and Eurobank, while he was CEO of OXYGEN CAPITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT. In 2016 he was the co-founder of the financial consulting company FINLAB.
Today, he is a managing director at KONIG SRL, a shipbuilding company based in Italy and a financial consultant at the investment company ROYALTON.

Vasilis Tountopoulos

Vassilis Tountopoulos is a strategic development consultant with significant experience in financial management, negotiation and reorganization of companies and organizations. He is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Peloponnese University, majoring in business analytics. He holds an MBA in Banking from ALBA Graduate Business School and an MSc in Tourism Administration from EAP. In addition, he is a member of the Project Management Institute – Greece Chapter, a registered Adult Educator at KEDIVIM of Patras University and a member of the Hellenic Scientific Society for Sports and Recreation Management. He has served as Regional Director of Medium Business Restructuring and Director of Commercial Banking Banking Centers in business units of large banking institutions such as Piraeus Bank, Bank of Cyprus and Alpha Bank. His areas of expertise are financing and alternative sources of capital raising, risk management, operational and financial corporate restructuring. During his career, he successfully handled significant cases of financing, restructuring, development and consolidation for companies, while he provided alternative funding sources for small and medium-sized enterprises. He participated as a consultant and mentor in projects supporting entrepreneurship and good governance for companies and organizations. Today, he is the founder and CEO of the consulting and entrepreneurship support company MPDO (www.mpdo.gr), which is an Affiliate Partner of CPA for Western Greece.
